Euro Beer #41: Ristorante Al Cantinone

 This is the wine we drank at lunch. It was dark and photos were not happening. It was a good lunch, so I'll include this:

This restaurant was near the funicular. We did not have a lot of time before having to catch our train to Padova. Before eating Sofia and I had a fight.Two house red wines. Bread and bread sticks. Gnocchi and Vitello Tonnato (like veal carpaccio) with sauce for Aaron. Gnocchi and local smoked dried cured ham salad for Sofia. This was a very good meal for a great value. We were both happy after lunch.

Euro Beer #40: The Ritual Pub

 We stopped in here for a nightcap and to watch a bit of the Rugby World Cup. Sofia had a half and half. I had a Harp Strong, which was surprisingly bland. Whatever, I just got it because I hoped it was strong. We made it in right before the Rugby game started. When we left people were fighting for our seats.

Euro Beer #39: Gennaro e Pia

No more intro. You know the deal: Went to Europe and now it's been years and years.

 Stopped in here. Had this beer. It was fine. 

 Fagottini ai formaggi al pomadoro e mozzerela gratinati al forno. That is a mouthfull.

 

Risotto ai frutti di mare. 

  Some gelato afterwords, duh.

Euro Beer #38: Bergamo Street Fair

In the fall of 2007 (yeah, I know, OVER 5 years ago, but I am not ending this series until ENDS) my wife and I traveled through Europe for 10 weeks. We ate a lot of food and drank of a lot of beer (and wine). Not enough food, not enough beer. Out of France, into Italy:

We arrived in Bergamo, Italy in the midst of a street fair. Lots of food and stuff to check out.

 I was happy to stumble upon some Köstritzer, a beer I drank a shit-ton of in Brookyn.

First pizza in Italy. Weird shit. Tasty.

Euro Beer #37: House Beers

In the fall of 2007 (yeah, I know, OVER 5 years ago, but I am not ending this series until ENDS) my wife and I traveled through Europe for 10 weeks. We ate a lot of food and drank of a lot of beer (and wine). Not enough food, not enough beer. In Annecy still, let's hurry this up and get onto Italy: 

 

 Still biking around town.

   This was our last day in Annecy.

 

 Later that night we bought some food to cook at the house and some really cheap, strong beers.

 Forte.

  Omelets!

 Drunk on cheap beer we planned our next moves. It was a nice long stay in Annecy, but we were ready to move onto Italy.

Euro Beer #36: Au Globe Trotter

In the fall of 2007 (yeah, I know, OVER 5 years ago, but I am not ending this series until ENDS) my wife and I traveled through Europe for 10 weeks. We ate a lot of food and drank of a lot of beer (and wine). Not enough food, not enough beer. In Annecy still, let's hurry this up and get onto Italy: 

 

 Ok, so we did not stay in for long. We went out with our host's daughter. I had a Grimbergen and Sofa had a 1664 Blanc. The 1664 sucked, mine was ok.

The next day I did some yard work for our host. Had to pay our way somehow.
