Euro Beer #46: Enoteca Italiana

Enoteca Italiana
 Via Marsala 2/b
A cool little wine shop we stumbled upon after walking around campus. We bought two glasses of wine. Notturno Sangiovese (2004). They had many different beers as well.

Some beer I did not have.

Euro Beer #45: Train Beer

Ok, before we leave Padua I had to show you this. Square toilet! I spotted it at some cafe on the way to the train station. Randomly, in the next city we were in, Bologna,  our hosts had the same toilet. But besides those two, no other square toilets were spotted on our journey.

Another train, another beer.

Euro Beer #44: Caffe Pedrocchi

Ok, this is cheating. With the Euro Beer series I usually only count alcoholic beverages as entry-worthy. But Caffe Pedrocchi could not not be mentioned. And not because the coffee was amazing, it was fine, but because of the building.

All coffee shoppes should look like this.

This is my latte, unmixed.

Caffe Pedrocchi ( I wrote down Gallery’s Cafe, but apparently that is wrong)Galleria Tito Livi 03
Cappuccino and cafe latte. Good of course.

Padua is beautiful. Go.

Euro Beer #43: Train Beer

A big Beck's for the ride back to Padua. Sofia was sleeping off her large wine.

Euro Beer #42: Bar All’Orologio

Bar All’Orologio
Campo Santa Maria Formosa

I had a small beer and I ordered Sofia a large white wine by mistake. Not the best atmosphere, but it did look out onto a little piazza. And it was the only place open at 3:30. Sofia got a bit drunk from the wine.

Euro Beer #42: Snack Bar Paloma

I know I said we were heading to Padua after Bergamo. We did, but early the next morning we took the train to Venice for the day.

Venice is just as you imagine it. I liked it. A day was enough.

 Snack Bar Paloma
Di Zanella Franco

1/2 litre of house red wine, merlot, not great, but drinkable at least
Pizza - Diavola - cheese, tomato and spicy salami - fucking tasty.

Euro Beer #41: Ristorante Al Cantinone

This is the wine we drank at lunch. It was dark and photos were not happening. It was a good lunch, so I'll include this:

Ristorante Al Cantinone
Via Donizetti, 25/a
Bergamo, Italy
This restaurant was near the funicular. We did not have a lot of time before having to catch our train to Padova. Before eating Sofia and I had a fight. Two house red wines. Bread and bread sticks. Gnocchi and Vitello Tonnato (like veal carpaccio) with sauce for Aaron. Gnocchi and local smoked dried cured ham salad for Sofia. This was a very good meal for a great value. We were both happy after lunch.

Some other photos:

This pizza looked good. Wish I ate some.

Ok, if yr ever in Bergamo check this place out and let me know how it is. It was closed when we went by.
