Thanks for posting the list. I haven't eaten at Sam's Deli Diner in Houston for years, but I remembering their burgers being fantastic. Beck's Prime are good, but not sure I'd put them that high on the list. I'm eager to try the Smashburger that just opened up down the street.

Another great place that wasn't mentioned is The Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese burger from The Tap Room in San Marcos, TX. Served on a semi sweet bun! Y'all also have to order they're beer battered onion rings.

There are a lot of great burgers mentioned on this list, but if you're ever in Austin, Phil's Ice House is the place to eat a great hamburger. They have one called the Jardin. It has ham, bacon, jalapenos, on a half pound burger served with sweet potato french fries.

Why no love for Chester's Hamburgers in San Antonio?

Whoever authored the list clearly hates sourdough. I can't believe the Chicken Oil Company in Bryan made the list, yet it's nowhere the best in the Bryan/College Station area.

If you find yourself in B/CS and need a good burger, make a stop at Harvey Washbangers, or even The Tap.

Love Perini's outside of Abilene but the Port Aransas burger joint not far from Corpus is wonderful and much higher than 44.
