The title of this post is a country song we wrote whilst on our most recent fishing trip in Florida. This post is actually kind of rip off of BTA's Because You Like Beer. Because you like beer, you like fishing. Right?
Now, one thing that sucks for a beer drinker about fishing is that most likely you have to get up early. And last night, let's say, you had a few. This is hard. But never fear, there is plenty of beer on the boat.
Then there is the manual f-ing labor of actually pulling in the fish.
The rewards are nice.
Oh wait, I meant the rewards. A beer. Or ten.
Fish on.

Ok, back to the burgers
Apparently it is National Burger Day. So I guess that means I need to get a burger. As you know, I've been trying burgers from Texas Monthly's 50 Best Burgers in TX list. I've had five of the Austin burgers so far. Which one should I get tonight?:
12. Cover 3, Austin, Chop-House Burger (With Cheese and Bacon)
16. Max’s Wine Dive, Austin, Houston, Kobe Beef Burger
30. Roaring Fork, Austin, Half Ass Burger
Oh, and beer too, this is a beer blog after all.

Depuceleuse Son!
I picked it up at Spec's Brodie Lane, where they only got one case and were about to send it up to Arbor Walk until I came in and busted it open. There are 23 bottles left. Arbor Walk should have it too.
I'll let you know how it pans out.

Goings on at Flying Saucer:
And at the Draught House:

Widmer Deadlift
After reading Patrick's review of Deadlift, I had to buy a four pack. I did not love it, but I really liked it. I love you, I'm not IN love with you. But look at that label. It's great. It makes me wanna grow out a curly mustache and don a top-hat.
Hercules is still my go-to Double IPA.

Jester King - Construction Update
Frame is coming together. And they are in a bit of a hurry:
We’ve had to cut and bend a lot of metal to make things fit. We’re squeezing every bit of daylight out of the day to get the building up since our brewhouse is scheduled to arrive from Newlands Systems later this month. Not only is their system coming in, I am getting increasingly thirsty. Come on guys!

Mo Allagash, No Problems
I saw this yesterday at Specs. I love that we are getting more and more of Allagash's Special Releases. I don't pick them up often, but when I do I always enjoy them.
Ass Kisser?
I've never had an "ass kissing day." I guess they are talking about working for the man and all. Whatever. I just want to try this beer.
Wow, Another Website Update
This one is for Real Ale. It is about time. That old one they had was close to terrible. The new one is much better, witch much more info on their beers. I like that.

My Last Pint #2
The second installment of My Last Pint is live with Michael “Mufasa” Ferguson of BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse.
Uncle Billy's 3rd Anniversary Party
The lineup. The 3rd Anniversary Tripel was really solid. It gave Devil's Backbone a run for it's money. Anyone else have it?
My Woodeye Rye. Always a delicious way to start the weekend.
The crowd.
