Left Hand's New Look

Left Hand is not my favorite brewery, not even in my top 5. But they do have some good stuff. Have you had their Russian Imperial Stout? It's stupendous. They've been rolling out their new labels lately. They sucked before. (Don't get me started on their website, blahhhh) They still are not great, but definitely an improvement. I saw these two yesterday at Central Market:

This beer is new to Austin, no? Who's had it? Thoughts?

These I have not yet spotted:

This is my favorite new label. Cows.

This I think is the worst. Good beer though.

Two Beers

We are moving to South Austin. I gotta finish up my stupid Flying Saucer plate thing before I move. I do not see myself drinking there much after we move. Two from yesterday:

I love Foghorn.

Decent.

Randalled

Randall in action at the Flying Saucer tonight. Left Hand Haystack pushed through three pounds of raspberries.

Left Hand Haystack on Raspberries. At first, I was not so impressed with the raspberry flavor. It was clearly a good hefeweizen though. I dumbly never tried it before. But then I took a sip of a Red Seal Pale Ale and went back to the Haystack and BANG RASPBERRY! Maybe they should mix hops and raspberries together in a Randall. Get on it Saucer.

Left Hand Widdershins @ Draught House Tonight

From Josh at the Draught House:

Tomorrow (around 5pm) we will tap a cask of brandy barrel aged, dry hopped Left Hand Widdershins Barley Wine. Only two of these were produced, so come by and try a rare treat. This will be the first of a semi regular Firkin Friday with exciting cask beers not often seen.

Check out Left Hand's website. It's galactic.
