Euro Beer #35: Dinner In

In the fall of 2007 (yeah, I know, OVER 5 years ago, but I am not ending this series until ENDS) my wife and I traveled through Europe for 10 weeks. We ate a lot of food and drank of a lot of beer (and wine). Not enough food, not enough beer. In Annecy still, let's hurry this up and get onto Italy:

I guess if I am gonna stay up late procrastinating I better at least blog. After our long ride around the lake we decided to relax at our host's place and make dinner. I don't know what these drinks were. I think rum and pineapple juice.

And we made some "Indian" cuisine.

New Rogue

Never been a big Dead Guy fan. A lot of people I know love it. It was an introduction into craft beer for a lot of people. It's kind of similar to Arrogant Bastard (which I like) - Strong, cool name, catchy label. The perfect beer to grab on a whim for the newbie beer drinker. Like Arrogant Bastard there is a double version of the beer and now there is a barrel aged version: John John Dead Guy. But John John has a twist, it was aged in Rogue's own Dead Guy Whiskey barrels. Neat.

Look, this is how it was made.

This one sounds promising.

Fear of the taste of alcohol

"Golly, It don't even taste like vodka." What is the bloody point? Getting wasted I guess. I am sure someday someone will produce a beer that tastes like sweet tea.
