Growlers Now Available at Whip In

Kind of pricey, no? I thought TX was supposed to be cheaper than NYC. What are the prices like around town? Draught House, Uncle Billy's, NXNW, etc.?

I've always found Whip In to be pretty high priced. I've stopped going there entirely when in Austin.

Draught House fills Live Oak growlers for $13-14. Dig Pub in Cedar Park fills growlers for the price of three pints of whatever beer you're filling it with. Thus, a growler of 512 Pecan Porter costs $11.25 (@$3.75 a pint). Not sure what Uncle Billy's charges.

The price for the Convict Hill Oatmeal Stout is outrageous, but I do give the Whip-In credit--the DHouse won't fill growlers with that beer because it's an "imperial" beer over 8% ABV.

Billy's $11
NXNW 12.50 (11 during happy hour)

Growler Room pricing is the best in town. $10-$13.50 for 64 oz fills.
