Interesting

Silas smells a collaboration ale. I smell a 1-Barrel Belgian Brewpub Deathmatch. But I guess a collaboration would be tasty too.

Sooooo Dark (aka Darkside Fermentation + Root Cellar)

Went to Root Cellar Cafe/Darkside Fermentation. No Mark of the Yeast. Damn.

Swag.

Picked up a couple bottles of Saccromancer Barleywine. Very good stuff. Barrel aged one year on lambic yeast. It's an original original.

Whilst there I pounded down some really solid food. Root Cellar surprised me. Great veggie sandwich. And I had a draught Blonde. Also, solid. Reminded me a lot of a Duvel. Sandwich and a Duvel = perfect lunch.

Post lunch walk to the river.

BTA: Darkside Fermentation to Expand to Full Brewery within a Year

Beertown Austin sat down with San Marcos' favorite nano brewery for the latest Over a Pint. Some good tidbits, but the main point of interest is that Silas Parker of Darkside is planning on expanding to full production next year.
